Hello there!
Well I am back to true form, got lots of UFO's (Unfinished Objects) hanging around as I seem to start one project then find a new one to start. It doesn’t help that there are lots of birthdays to crochet for in March. But it does mean I’ll have lots to share with you when I’ve got them done, and hopefully a new free patter by the end of the month .
I have started working on this lovely shawl for my friend Maisie. I thought it was so pretty she would love it. I’m doing it in aron yarn to make it nice and cosy. I couldn’t believe my amazing arrogance when I started this pattern, I consider myself an experienced fibre artist so I thought I knew all of the stitches... apparently not! I came across extended single crochet when I started this pattern and my first thought was “surly she means half double crochet” but no, there is such a thing as extended single crochet (exsc) here is a link to a tutorial. So I learnt something new which is always a good thing.
OMG! I can’t believe I forgot to mention, I got the tattoo of my dreams last week.
It’s says knit fast die warm and it’s on my thigh. I designed it myself and it is by far the best tattoo I have. I have a total crush on myself when I look at it. I hope you guys like it.
Anyway I best get to work, I have a day off and lots of crafting to catch up on.

Love your tat!
ReplyDeleteThat tat is by far the coolest tat I've ever seen!
ReplyDeleteI lol'ed when I saw it!
Sweet tattoo. :D It's very true.
ReplyDeleteAwesome TAT!!! I'm totally jealous, ok not jealous but borderline and definitely envious. That has got to be one of the coolest tats I've ever seen. You can sorta see my tat on my blog profile pic, but not all of it's glory like you can in your new photo. WOW, if I were ever going to get another tat, which I'm not, I would totally want one with a crochet hook and some plarn!! hahaha, you also made me laugh when you said "crush on yourself", thanks for that, lol, I feel ya on that, I get that way sometimes too after putting on a fresh face of makeup over some good moisturizer and a purple or other colored wig.
ReplyDeleteThis is the very FIRST time I have ever thought 'maybe...' about a tattoo
