Owl coin purse patern

I have finally found a free moment to write up this pattern. Its been a busy time recently. Just finished a bunch of commission work for the magazine. Now I have a lot of left over yarn and no space to stash it, so a stash busting blanket it on the knitting needles while another monster for the book is on the hook, I wish I could do both at the same time, that would be amazing. I've also been trying to organise the craft supplies and its making me think of my imaginary craft room, sigh, one day...
Any Way, the pattern:

You Will Need:
Two shades of DK or WW yarn of your choice and yellow for the eyes.
Two black buttons for eyes
A small triangle of yellow felt for the beak.

  10. Some time ago I bought a little leather purse kit for an owl at Michaels for $1.00. The idea was to use it for a pattern in crochet. You've made it easier. Your purse is very cute.

  11. Thanks so much for sharing your pattern. I hooked him up and featured it as my Pinspire Me Monday on my blog:

  12. I am trying to reach you through email...under your profile...but it fails...was looking for some other patterns and was asking for your help...?

  13. Hi, what pattern were you looking for?

  14. Hi!
I love what you do but i have no idea wutsoeva about crocheting.. -.- so if you have any spare time could do a level 0 beginners pattern for something? :D

  15. That is way cute! I have been wanting to make a owl purse--just a small one. This is much cuter than whatever I can make!

  16. Love this. I am going to use it for a cell phone holder! A few times I have no pocket, no bra, so no where for the phone. Voila, going to add a chain stitch length for the neck, on eah side, no zipper, no lining. I can hardly wait. Thanks for the pattern.

  17. So CUTE!! I have a friend who collects owls, so THANK YOU so much for sharing your pattern! I'll have to make her one of these, for sure, sometime, and I imagine one for myself! ~tina

  18. I can not crochet but I think it looks awesome!

  19. THANK YOU, THANK YOU, AND THANK YOU for your pattern!! It is absolutely adorable!!!

  20. At the beginning you say to sc in the ring. How do you make the ring?

    1. Chain 2, and crochet into the farthest link from the hook. :)

  21. Thank you so much for posting this! I made one the other day and added it to my blog. I linked back to you, so I hope that's ok! Let me know otherwise. Here's the link

  22. I just love all your creations. The Owl coin purse and the Tiny Owl are just adorable. Keep up the good work.

  23. I love it.Going to make one.

  24. Just made one its so cute but how do you sew the fabric in ?thanks

  25. I have never done anything with a zipper and lining before.
This looks challenging for a beginner like me, but it is so
adorable!! One question: I do not have a sewing machine,
so can the sewn portions be done by hand? I'm not sure
that would work too well with a zipper involved though.

  26. Maggie
What gage did you use to make this i wan to make sure that I'm getting it right
