Book Book Book

So I have started work on my Amigurumi book. I'm currently trying to write a proposal to see how publishers will like it. A part of the process is market research, seeing what kind of people would want to purchase a book written by me and this is where I need your help. I want to know all about you. Copy the questions, click on comments and past the questions in and fill in your answers. This is your chance to tell me exactly what you want. I will be eternally grateful for your help.

Do you consider yourself beginner/ intermediate / skilled or highly skilled? Skilled, though highly skilled in some areas

What do you like to see in an Amigurumi/Crochet book? Something different!! I Get very frustrated with the number of books that barely have anything original in them. They seem to be full of "patterns" for two balls stitched together with a bit of felt stitched on to make them look like whatever they say they are. Lots of pictures and various different patterns are really what I want, with the crochet making the shape not stitched on felt!!!

    I would say advanced beginner.

What do you like to see in an Amigurumi/Crochet book?
Lots of detailed step-by-step instructions with pictures! Love pictures! LOL Also, suggestions and examples of variations you can do with the pattern itself or with embellishments.

I don't have a favorite, I love books period! lol But Creepy Cute Crochet by Christen Haden and Crobots by Nelly Pailloux are always fun to flip through.

I learned the art of crochet when I was very young, but until very recent, I only did shawls and tiny stuff, like flowers and motifs to put on hats and suchs. I have been knitting for years and years though. I then did an amigurumidragon out of boredom 6 months ago and now this is my new black!

Do you consider yourself beginner/ intermediate / skilled or highly skilled?
I am very good with my hands so I not tried something I could not make so far...so skilled I guess:)

What do you like to see in an Amigurumi/Crochet book?
I love to make vintage and cool things for my children out of the ordinary. This way, I can decided what my daughters dolls look like and I love it:) So more cool things like your Abby doll would be great:)

What is your favorite crochet book out at the moment?
I dont have a book since I get my inspiration from the internet and pamplets. But I would buy a book if I can get it as an e-book.

Do you consider yourself beginner/ intermediate / skilled or highly skilled? At amigurumi? Definitely a beginner.

What do you like to see in an Amigurumi/Crochet book? Honestly, I think it would be neat to have customizable patterns. For instance: What about having patterns for several different leg choices, head choices, body choices, arm choices, ear choices, etc. Then, give how-to examples of different embellishments. I think it would be fun to have a pattern book that allows for the person to create their own creature, but with patterns for the different body parts. (Did that even make sense?)

What is your favorite crochet book out at the moment? I recently purchased Twinkie Chan's Crochet book. I'm really enjoying the easy, yet cute patterns.

What do you like to see in an Amigurumi/Crochet book? I like nerd reference amigurumi (TV show, sci fi, anime, comics, video game-related creatures; or amigurumi that have a use, like in gifting or decorating) and in crochet books I like easily understood patterns for wearable accessories that look professional/stylish.

What is your favorite crochet book out at the moment? Harmony Guides' 250 Crochet stitches - I like textures but don't know that many stitches, yet. I like learning how to structure crochet so I can make anything I want.

Skill level? I'll put it this way. Never seen a hard pattern. But I have seen patterns with lots of sewing. I basically do nothing but amigurumis.
In a book? Animals, zombies, superheroes, anything pretty/cute/AWESOME. People are only awesome when they're wearing skin tight stuff..like superheroes or ballerinas.
